Keahumoa Place is pursuing LEED for Homes Certification


LEED buildings save energy, water, resources, generate less waste and support human health.

·                An integrated Project Team with Durability Management in place to promote appropriate design, materials selection, and construction practices which helps save money and resources, while still achieving sustainability goals.


·                Situated close to public transportation routes and nearby community amenities to discourage dependency on personal automobiles.


·                Utilizes compact development patterns to conserve land.


·                Site stewardship through erosion controls during construction to minimize long term environmental damage to the building lot during the construction process.


·                Landscape design and management practices to minimize use of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides which could enter the groundwater.


·                Project complies with High-Density requirements which utilizes compact development patterns to conserve land and promote community livability, transportation efficiency, and walkability.
